2/26/09 -- Events Thus Far

April 2008 -- mom fell at work at Assumption Village and broke her rib(s).
June 2008 -- at the family reunion people noticed a limp and slurred speech, made her promise to go to the dr.
July - August 2008 -- mom went to a gp and then to a neurologist. CT scan, blood work, mri all showed no signs of injury or disease. Neurologist suspected ALS, but still a lot of work needed to rule out other things.
September -- December 2008 -- Speech therapy and nerve conduction testing showed deterioration in her motor neurons, but not enough to make a diagnosis.
February 08 -- we went to the Dr. with her. Dr. Stigler. She had definitely deteriorated since her last visit with him in December. He wants to do a pulmonary test and another nerve conduction test before he definitively hands down an ALS diagnosis.
